During Thursday's opening competition of the World Championship in biathlon in Swiss Lenzerheide, the mixed relay, Elvira Öberg was forced to withdraw due to illness.
The competition came too early for the 25-year-old to recover from the cold she caught in mid-January.
But now, national team coach Johannes Lukas is delivering a piece of good news.
Already on Friday, when it's time for the women's sprint, Öberg will be back.
Elvira is 100 percent ready. She will have a normal warm-up tomorrow. She did a calm session today and her body feels like it has recovered very well from Tuesday's session, so we made the right decision, says Lukas in SVT's "VM Magazine" on Wednesday evening.
The sprint starts at 15.05 on Friday.
