No players on the teams wanted to finish the match. It all ended with the ball being passed around for the remaining match time.
Bochum appealed the decision to continue playing, and now the German Football Association is awarding the team a 2-0 victory. Union Berlin has a week to appeal.
If it becomes a walkover win for Bochum, the team will double their points tally in the Bundesliga. Bochum is lagging behind by just six points after 15 matches played.
