The new record entered in the Guinness Book of Records is 440.6 meters, reports The Guardian.
To be approved, the dessert had to look like one continuous piece. The chefs therefore had to use around two tons of mascarpone to both cover the individual pieces and the joints.
"We are the kings of details and are very specific about the rules," says referee Marco Frigatti to The Guardian.
It took about five hours to complete the enormous dessert.
The previous record was 273.5 meters.
