One of the world's largest airlines, Emirates Airlines, will purchase an additional 65 aircraft from the American Boeing in the form of the 777X model.
While the order is of great value to Boeing, it is a setback for competitor Airbus, which had hoped to secure sales of its A350-1000 model, which competes with Boeing's variant.
The first aircraft are to be delivered in the second quarter of 2027. The total order value is unknown.
