Gestblom impressed in her relay race during the first VC weekend of the season, but she then did not compete again in Östersund but continued the rehabilitation of her shoulder.
In Hochfilzen, Austria, it is time for the injured 31-year-old's first individual VC race in almost two years.
"Linn did a great job on the relay and her shoulder is ready for the next step," says national team coach Johannes Lukas.
The competitions in Hochfilzen begin with sprints for both women and men on Friday. During the weekend, pursuit starts and relays await.
