This is a special moment. Throughout my entire life, every time I've gone up on stage, I've told myself: ”Play as if it were your last concert”, said the artist to the audience who defied the heavy rain at the Vieilles Charrues festival in Bretagne in France.
Starting from the beginning of the 2000s, Solveig, along with David Guetta and Bob Sinclar, brought the "French touch" to the world's dance floors. The 48-year-old Solveig – whose real name is Martin Picandet – has released five albums during his more than two decades long career and is most known for songs like "All stars" and "Hello". He has also produced music for stars like Madonna.
Jérôme Tréhorel, responsible for the festival where Martin Solveig announced his retirement, tells AFP that it was a surprise for them when Solveig several weeks ago said that Vieilles Charrues would be his only concert this year and also the last one.
