"I was horrified," says Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot in a post on X about the French diplomat's email contact with the late Jeffrey Epstein between 2010 and 2017.
While the diplomat worked for the UN in New York between 2006 and 2013, Mediapart reported he visited websites featuring child sexual abuse. Mediapart said this led to his resignation.
During that period, the Frenchman was also an advisor to Norwegian Terje Rød-Larsen, who, together with his wife - former Norwegian UN ambassador Mona Juul - is also being investigated over links to Epstein.
