The executions took place publicly in three different regions where the inhabitants had been invited to "participate in the events", according to official announcements.
The men had been sentenced to "retribution punishment" for murder, after their cases had been "examined very carefully and repeatedly", according to a statement from the Taliban regime.
Public executions were common during the Taliban's first rule 1996-2001, and most of the executions took place publicly on sports arenas.
The latest execution took place in November 2024.
