Minister for Migration Johan Forssell (M) thinks that multiculturalism enriches Sweden. This has made SD leader Jimmie Åkesson furious and call him clueless.

I describe a development that exists today. You can't even ignore how Sweden looks, says Forssell in SVT's "30 minutes" in response to the criticism.

The introduction is an interview in Aftonbladet where Forssell says that "Sweden will be a multicultural society" even after the government and the Sweden Democrats' migration policy has taken full effect.

Åkesson writes on X that he sees the statement as "surprising and worrying" and that it is "remarkably naive to surrender to multiculturalism".

In "30 minutes", Forssell explains that he thinks the differences "enrich our country".

That we're not all the same, that we bring different cultures, that we have different religions for that matter and celebrate different holidays – that doesn't have to be a problem as long as we can jointly unite under some very important values, he says in the program.
