A former Ukrainian parliamentarian and adviser to the Russia-friendly former president Viktor Yanukovych has been shot to death near Spain's capital Madrid, El País reports, citing police sources.
The incident is said to have taken place at 9:15 am on Wednesday, outside a school in the town of Pozuelo de Alarcón.
The Spanish police confirm that a man has died after being shot in the area. No one has been arrested in the case.
