Forecast: Birgitta Ohlsson likely to win Riksdag seat for Centre Party

This is according to mathematician Gustav Karreskog Rehbinder, who founded the forecasting company Vera Policy.

"Although I can't put a number on it, she will most likely get in," he says.

To win a seat in the Riksdag, at least 5 percent of the party's personal votes in the constituency where you are listed are required.

Currently, Ohlsson has more than 10 percent of the Center Party's votes in Stockholm municipality. Center leader Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist is slightly higher, at 12.5 percent.

Birgitta Ohlsson will thus probably pass her party colleague Svante Linusson, who would then miss out on a seat in the Riksdag.

Ohlsson has previously been both a member of parliament and a minister for the Liberal Party. After several years away from politics, she announced her comeback this spring, but this time as a Centre Party member.
