I have never heard of this. I am speechless, says AIK's CEO Fredrik Söderberg to TV4 Football Channel.
The interest organization Swedish Elite Football (Sef), which gathers all clubs in Allsvenskan and Superettan, is equally surprising about the new requirement being only a test in the two upcoming rounds. This was stated by Per Engström, group manager for the National Operational Department (Noa) at the police, to TV4 Football Channel on Thursday.
This came as a surprise to us, says Per Eliasson, security manager at Sef, to the site.
In the beginning of September, we had a meeting with Noa (the police) and then nothing was mentioned about this. I have also checked with our clubs and none of them have received this when they had individual meetings with the police in their regions, continues Eliasson.
Djurgården's security manager Mats Jonsson:
I do not know the underlying reason why we got this turn. It's just to relate to it and note that what you thought was true when you woke up this morning is not true now in the afternoon, says Jonsson to Football Channel.
Per Engström to Football Channel about the new requirement:
It (the requirement) applies to rounds 24 and 25, then we will evaluate how it has worked. We'll see which organizers have managed and not. From there, we decide what steps we take.
