Bolsonaro was ordered on Monday to surrender his passport, but when he failed to do so, a decision was made to invalidate it, according to a police source.

A judge on Brazil’s Supreme Court banned Bolsonaro from leaving the country on Monday, Bolsonaro himself said.

According to The Guardian, however, the court’s decision regarding Bolsonaro’s passport relates to a criminal case in which he is being investigated for possible involvement in a money-laundering scheme.
