Flávio Bolsonaro, who lost the Brazilian presidential election, says he left Brazil for the United States because he was being persecuted.
“The persecution began even earlier than I thought,” Bolsonaro said during an Instagram livestream, according to AFP.
Bolsonaro arrived in Miami with his family earlier this week, despite a travel ban, according to his own statement. He is under investigation in Brazil on suspicion of corruption and money laundering.
