"We have a fairly good picture of the sequence of events, but currently have no one who is detained or suspected of a crime", writes the Prosecution Authority in a press release.
It was late in the evening on January 29 when a man was shot to death in an apartment in Södertälje. The day after it became clear that the deceased was the Koran burner Salwan Momika.
Just hours after the fatal shooting, five men were arrested and detained on suspicion of involvement in the murder. However, all five were released the following day as the suspicions had weakened.
The 38-year-old Momika became internationally known for his Koran burnings and had a very large threat against him.
The day after the murder, the Stockholm District Court was to have announced the verdict in the case where Momika was charged with incitement to racial hatred. On February 3, his companion Salwan Najem was convicted of the same crime.
