The number of air passengers globally is expected to exceed five billion for the first time next year, specifically 5.2 billion, according to the international air transport organization IATA.

Air carriers' total revenues are expected to simultaneously break the barrier, one trillion dollars, 1,000 billion dollars, or over 10,000 billion kronor in 2025.

According to IATA, falling fuel prices are behind the expected upswing.
