A suspected dangerous object has been found and seized after a severe fire ravaged a property in Gothenburg that is used by a motorcycle club. It is about Hells Angels local in Gunnilse.

The suspected dangerous object was found at 10 am on Saturday after the fire was extinguished, reports SVT News West which writes that it is a suspected bomb.

Right now, a dangerous object has been found right by the gate. So we have had to extend the cordons a bit, says Ronny Liljeqvist, incident commander at the rescue service, to SVT.

The police's national bomb protection was called to the scene.

At 2:30 pm, the police write on their website:

”It cannot be ruled out that the object is live, but it is considered safe to move from the site. The object is taken for technical examination.”

The alarm about the fire came at 03.25. The after-extinguishing work will continue throughout Saturday, according to the police's press spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr.

Before it is completely extinguished and cooled down, we will not be able to do any technical examination on the site or so. That will have to come afterwards, says Svedemyr to TT.

The police have initiated a preliminary investigation into arson. There is no suspect in the case.

A dozen people were in the premises when the fire started, but are said to have gotten out of the building. According to the rescue service, there are no reports of anyone being injured.
