Jonne Kähkönen replaces Jean-Marc Chabloz.
"I am really excited and eager to start working with the team," Kähkönen told SVT.
The Finn, who most recently came from the Italian national team and has previously worked for the U.S. and Finnish biathlon teams, will be based in Finland, unlike the rest of the national team, who live in Östersund.
"The active ones must be independent in how they find the right way to work with me and the other coaches," Kähkönen said.
The other shooting coach, Johan Hagström, will continue, as will coach Mattias Nilsson and head coach Johannes Lukas.
