There are, according to the court, no legal obstacles to seizing Russian property in Finland, reports Yle.
Finland has confiscated dozens of Russian properties worth over 40 million euros, at the request of the Ukrainian energy company Naftogas. This as compensation for the damage caused by the Russian invasion in Ukraine.
Among them is an area in Åland that has come to be called "Putin's beach plot", a Russian "culture and science center" in Helsinki, as well as several office and residential buildings.
Russia has appealed the confiscations and claimed that they are illegal. Russia has also demanded that Naftogas pay the court costs.
