Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M) wants to appoint an inquiry into the euro during the next term of office if she wins the election this fall.

"I think it is important that we investigate the issue of the euro properly," she says during a parliamentary debate on the euro.

An in-depth analysis of the advantages and disadvantages, also considering the security situation we are in.

The debate had been requested by the Liberals, who want to introduce the euro.

M decided at its meeting last autumn that it wants to investigate whether Sweden should introduce the euro.

C wants an investigation to be set up even before the election and intends to submit a committee initiative on it on Thursday. SD, V, MP and KD, however, do not think it is relevant and advocate that Sweden keep the krona.

S does not rule out an investigation but emphasizes that the party is not currently pushing any demands to join the euro.
