The trial, which started two weeks ago, concerns Gjert Ingebrigtsen, who is charged with assault and abuse of two of his children, his only daughter, who has requested anonymity, and his son Jakob Ingebrigtsen.
The latter – one of the world's top runners on distances between 1,500 and 5,000 meters – has testified about an upbringing marked by fear, manipulation, and physical violence.
On Monday, his older brother, Filip Ingebrigtsen, who during his running career has won European Championship gold and World Championship bronze on 1,500 meters, testified.
One memory has really stuck, he says.
Jakob Ingebrigtsen has previously told about an incident where he was allegedly hit by his father several times in the head.
Something Filip witnessed.
He just stood there. He didn't do anything. He didn't cry.
Suddenly, Jakob gets up and is called a "liar" or something similar right in the face. I don't understand what Jakob has done to deserve that, says Filip Ingebrigtsen.
He remembers being told to leave afterwards.
And then it continues for a while after that, where he is yelled at and hit in the head many times.
Father Gjert Ingebrigtsen has denied all allegations of violence presented in the indictment.
