When it was time for the fourth and final standing shoot, Sebastian Samuelsson fought with mainly three Frenchmen for the top spots.
However, it became a tough shoot for Samuelsson. He missed three shots and with three penalty rounds, a podium finish was out of reach. In the end, he finished 12th.
Jesper Nelin had a miss in the first shoot, but after three consecutive zeros, he was able to finish in a fine fifth place. Reserve Nelin got a spot in the 30-man starting field after a few withdrawals.
It was great that I got to compete. The key today is the shoot, then it's tough on the tracks. I'm just trying to go as cheaply as possible. I've set it up well today, says Jesper Nelin to SVT.
Frenchman Eric Perrot (one miss) won ahead of his compatriot Quentin Fillon Maillet (one). Third was Norwegian Sturla Holm Lægereid (one miss), who extended his lead in the World Championship total standings ahead of his sick compatriot Johannes Thingnes Bø.
Martin Ponsiluoma, the third Swedish competitor, was as usual fast on the tracks, but after five misses on the shooting range, he had to settle for 14th place.
On Sunday, the mixed relay and single mixed relay will be held in Slovenia.
