The head of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Jurian van der Meer, revealed in a panel discussion at a television conference on Tuesday that the EBU had reached an agreement with YouTube to broadcast the final and both semi-finals.
It has already been possible to watch via the streaming service Peacock in the US, but behind a paywall.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, there was a sneak start with YouTube last year, but without an official announcement.
The Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast from Vienna, Austria, on May 12, 14, and 16. This fall, an Asian edition will also take place in Thailand, with ten competing countries so far.
