The EU's sanctions against a large number of Russian and Ukrainian individuals and organizations due to the Russian war in Ukraine are extended by another six months, according to a diplomatic source in Brussels.
The decision was made at the ambassador level and applies to the large number of individuals who are considered to be acting against Ukraine's territorial integrity.
In parallel, the EU is preparing a 19th sanctions package against Russia to further put pressure on the country's leadership to initiate peace negotiations.
