Charlie Kirk's widow Erika Kirk wants to keep her husband's work alive. The movement that my husband built will not die, she says.

Erika Kirk held on Friday local time a televised speech, where she emphasized that she will carry on her murdered husband's movement.

This widow's tears will echo around the world as a battle cry, she says according to American media.

Right-wing debater Charlie Kirk was shot dead during an appearance at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. A 22-year-old from Utah has been arrested suspected of the murder.

When Kirk was killed, he was on a lecture tour with a focus on conservative values, according to Kirk's organization Turning Point USA. And the tours will continue, according to Erika Kirk.

To those who are behind the murder of my husband – if you thought his movement was powerful before, you have no idea what you have now unleashed, she says.

It was Donald Trump who announced the death and the president has made many posts on the platform Truth Social about the murder.

My husband loved you and he knew that you loved him too. Your friendship was fantastic, she says to Trump.

She also thanks Vice President JD Vance for using Air Force Two to fly home Kirk's body.
