Emirates profit plunges 66% as Iran war and fuel costs hit airline

Emirates reports a sharp drop in profit and passenger numbers for the six-month period ending September 30.

This is due to rising fuel prices and the impact of the war in Iran on the Middle East region. The airline, which is based in Dubai, reported a 22 percent decline in passenger numbers.

The company's profit fell by 66 percent over the same period.
