Emil Krafth retires from Sweden duty and will be honoured at national stadium

Emil Krafth has made 52 international appearances - and there will be no more. Next Saturday, he will be one of five players honoured for their contributions to the Swedish national team.

Krafth has been without a club since leaving Newcastle at the end of last season. The 32-year-old recently told the national team management that he is retiring from international football, the Swedish Football Association writes.

After the international match against Bosnia and Herzegovina at the national stadium in Solna, Krafth will be honoured alongside Emil Forsberg (92 caps), Robin Olsen (79), Viktor Claesson (74) and Martin Olsson (56).

“These are players who have meant a lot to Swedish football and created many great memories in blue and yellow,” says national team manager Kim Källström.
