"Keep away from distribution points for your safety", GHF wrote on Facebook on Friday morning.
Hours later, however, the organisation claims that two distribution points in southern Gaza have reopened – but now have closed again, The Times of Israel writes.
The reason is according to GHF extensive congestion that jeopardises safety at distribution points.
Even on Wednesday, distribution was completely paused. News of a partial reopening of two distribution points came first in the afternoon of Thursday, but shortly afterwards, one of them was closed again.
At least 60 people have died in connection with GHF's chaotic food distributions, which have had thousands of desperate people flocking to small, military-controlled points in mainly southern Gaza Strip.
The versions of what happened diverge: according to witness statements and several assessors, Israel has fired on the crowds, while Israel denies being behind the bloodshed.
Israeli-American GHF, which began distributing aid last week, has received sharp criticism from several quarters. That the UN and other established organisations are excluded contributes to the fact that the operation cannot possibly live up to humanitarian principles, the UN claims.
