"We must defend ourselves against the employers' far-reaching demands for deteriorations, such as unpredictable working hours and insecure employments. Despite great efforts from our side to resolve issues at the negotiating table, we unfortunately see no other way forward than to announce a strike", says Mikael Pettersson, chief negotiator at Elektrikerna, in a press release.
Among the affected locations are, for example, Sundsvall, Umeå, and Malmö.
Elektrikerna and Installatörsföretagen have been negotiating a new collective agreement since mid-February.
The conflict measures will come into effect on May 14 at 5 am.
The strike notice implies a total work stoppage and blockade of work tasks, which means that no one will be allowed to perform work tasks covered by the strike.
The strike notice affects approximately 750 electricians at Eitech, Bravida, and Assemblin in Hudiksvall, Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik, Umeå, Skellefteå, Luleå, Boden, Gällivare, Kalix, Malmö, Halmstad, Norrköping, Kista, Solna, Falun, Västra Frölunda, Floby, Tystberga, and Södertälje.
The current Installation Agreement ended on Wednesday, April 30.
