A man in his 70s died after being hit by a bus at an unguarded pedestrian crossing in Ljunghusen on the Falsterbo peninsula. The district court is now convicting the bus driver for manslaughter, writes Sydsvenskan.
The accident occurred on May 17 when the man was leading his bicycle across the road. A few meters out on the pedestrian crossing, the man was hit by a double-decker bus and died shortly thereafter.
I braked, but he came out far too late, said the driver during the trial.
