In the last election in 2022, the figure was 2.1 million at the same point in time.
"It's an increase of 25 percent so far," says Anna Nyqvist, head of the Swedish Election Authority, to TV4.
The agency has not determined any explanation for the increase.
"We feel that many people think it is easy to vote early," says Nyqvist.
