Russian drones attacked on Saturday a train station in Sjostka in the Sumy region, reports Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj. A man was killed and at least 30 people were injured in the attack, reports the railway company Ukrzaliznytsia on Telegram.

In a video shared by Zelenskyj on X a train car can be seen on fire. Powerful flames are bursting out and dark smoke is rising towards the sky. It is unclear if anyone has been killed, but among the injured are several children.

A "barbaric" Russian attack, the president writes and continues:

"The Russians could not have been unaware that they were attacking civilians. This is terror that the world cannot ignore".

Two trains are reported to have been hit in the attack. According to the railway company Ukrzaliznytsia, the station was subjected to a so-called double attack.

"The second attack on the locomotive took place while evacuation was already underway", the company writes on Telegram.

Sjostka is located in northern Ukraine, about five miles from the Russian border. Since the full-scale invasion in 2022, Russia has repeatedly targeted Ukraine's railway infrastructure.

During the night, Russian drones have also attacked Dnipro and Kharkiv, local authorities reported early on Saturday. Cherson and Zaporizhzhia in southern Ukraine are also said to have been attacked. In Cherson, about a dozen people are injured.

In Russia, drones have attacked an oil refinery in Kirishi in the Leningrad region overnight, reports The Kyiv Independent. The refinery in western Russia is said to be one of the country's largest and has been attacked several times before during the war.
