“Not a single bomb has been dropped on the United States. We cannot kill an entire civilization. This is pure evil and madness.”

The words about Trump's threat against Iran come from the United States, but not from a Democrat; they come from the president's former ally, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican and former Trump loyalist who has harshly criticized the president in recent months.

She also wrote on X "25th Amendment!!!", referring to the amendment to the Constitution stating that the president can be declared unable to perform his duties by the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet.

Time to say no

She is supported by the usually Trump-loyal Tucker Carlson, a former Fox News host. In his own podcast, he criticizes Trump and accuses his Easter posts of making fun of both Christianity and Islam.

It's time to say no, absolutely no, and say it directly to the president.

he says, according to The Wall Street Journal.

But Trump is, of course, also receiving criticism from Democrats.

The party's Senate leader, Chuck Schumer, says, according to NBC News, that Trump is "an extremely sick person," and his party colleague Hakeem Jeffries, the House minority leader, is urging Republicans in Congress to stop the war "before Trump throws us into World War III."

Put your patriotic duty before the party and stop this madness.

he says.

Not at war with the people

Republican Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin doesn't go that far, but is appealing to the White House to reconsider.

"I hope and pray that this was just something President Trump blurted out. I don't want to see us blow up civilian infrastructure,"

he said, according to NBC News.

We are not at war with the Iranian people. We are trying to liberate them.
