Djurgården made a strong start to the match and created several scoring opportunities in the first few minutes.

After just ten minutes, they also scored a goal. August Priske headed in the rebound from Tobias Gulliksen's shot to make it 1–0.

It was not the most difficult goal I have scored, but it was a nice attack. A good team goal, I think, says Priske to Max.

This was also the score after the first 45 minutes.

Elfsborg's coach Oscar Hiljemark was not satisfied with the play and made three substitutions at halftime.

Hiljemark not satisfied

Despite offensive substitutions, Elfsborg never managed to score, and 1–0 to Djurgården held up for the entire match. This despite Per Frick having a great opportunity with five minutes left, but Filip Manojlovic continued his fine match with a great save.

It looks like a team that wants to be involved and compete, and a team that does not want to. It makes me irritated, says Elfsborg's coach Oscar Hiljemark after the match.

Elfsborg thus loses fourth place and is now in fifth place in the table. Djurgården has risen to eighth place.

In the parallel match between Öster and Malmö, there was an expected away win.

Malmö took the lead in the 24th minute through Otto Rosengren after a nice attack. With a little over 20 minutes left, Sead Haksabanovic added to the score to 2–0 with a powerful shot that was unstoppable for Robin Wallinder in the Öster goal.

”Our play is crap”

Öster did not lack good chances, on the contrary, but failed to get the ball behind Robin Olsen.

Our own play is crap. We have to chase the ball a lot and it's tough against Malmö, and in this heat we have to run a lot, it was not good at all, says Öster's Mattis Adolfsson.

Even for the reigning champions, not everything was perfect. New recruit Andrej Djuric, who made his first match for Malmö, had to be substituted and limped off the field with half an hour left.

Malmö is now fourth in Allsvenskan, Öster continues as second to last.
