Sven-Göran Eriksson's coaching career, which began in Degerfors in 1977, took him to several major clubs, not least in Italy. "Svennis" was also national team captain for, among others, England during his lifetime.

Several hundred items from his career are now being sold at auction, starting on Tuesday.

According to Emil Nilsson, at the auction firm BNA in Sunne, it is difficult to predict what the total sum for the approximately 320 items will be.

It's such unique items and no one has had anything like this at an auction before. So it's extremely difficult to say what it can end up at, he says.

But just the gold value is up to 300,000 kronor, then there are some Armani suits and other things. In total, it should be around a million or two. Or more.

Secret Note

On the long list of items is an employment contract with IFK Göteborg from 1979, a gold medal from Lazio's league gold in 1999-2000, and several suits with England's emblem on the breast pocket.

In one of the suits, there is also the team lineup and tactics from England's World Championship match against Ecuador in 2006.

There has been a huge interest, even internationally, from people who have emailed and called with questions about how the auction is going, says Emil Nilsson.

"Fun Suits"

Which of the items will be the most sought after is difficult to predict, he thinks.

But there are some fun suits from his time in England or the medals from Lazio, which are also a bit special. Additionally, there are some shirts with autographs on them that there should also be an interest in.

Sven-Göran Eriksson passed away in August last year, just over half a year after he openly told that he was terminally ill with cancer in the pancreas.

According to the inventory, he had 118 million kronor in debts at the time of his death, most of which were tax debts in the United Kingdom. His home in Sunne, Björkefors Manor, has also been put up for sale earlier.
