The government wants to make it easier to serve someone with suspicion of crime. An investigation is planned to enable digital service, reports Sveriges Radio.
Failed services often lead to cancelled trials, according to the radio. Annually, it is estimated to cost 15 million kronor.
It's a huge problem, and has been for a long time, says Sara Fredriksson, head of the legal unit at the Court Administration to the radio.
An investigation is also planned on whether it should be illegal to evade service, and in practice thereby get the criminal suspicions barred by limitation.
