The Norwegian first team won by a margin of 2.04 seconds over the Italian first team. Federico Pellegrino was five hundredths ahead of Johan Häggström at the finish.
Last year, Edvin Anger and Johan Häggström also came third in Davos – this after bad changes and pole breakage. It was almost a repeat in this year's race when Anger fell on an ice patch on his first stretch.
"It's amazing how good Johan was after my little dance on the ice. It was a bad start, but we'll get through it," says Anger.
We were both strong, it was nice that we managed to keep it together. Edvin was mute on the last crest but still managed it, says Häggström about Anger catching up to the lead at the last change.
Edvin Anger says he handled it well after the incident.
I'm staying pretty calm. And Johan is having a great day. Then we make some great changes, compared to last year.
The Swedish second team, with Emil Danielsson and Anton Grahn, finished in 15th place. This after Grahn fell.
Edvin Anger gave himself revenge in Davos after his performance in last week's World Cup competitions in Trondheim where his best placing was 22nd place (sprint).
It's still nice to be back after a disastrous week last week. And we're enjoying ourselves here in Davos.
On Saturday, an individual sprint awaits.
