The past 24 hours have seen Israel carry out several drone and artillery strikes, including a deadly one in the city of Shebaa, according to reports from Lebanon's health department and state media.
This occurred after Hezbollah on Monday fired two projectiles at a border area held by Israel, which the Islamist movement described as "a warning" and a response to previous Israeli attacks.
Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to strike hard against what he describes as Iran-allied Hezbollah's violations of the ceasefire. If the agreement is broken, Israel may extend its attacks to also include targets belonging to the Lebanese state, warns his Defense Minister Israel Katz.
The ceasefire came into effect in Lebanon last Wednesday, after more than a year of escalation and war between Israel and Hezbollah. The fighting has subsided, but Israel has carried out several attacks on targets under allegations that it is Hezbollah that is breaking the agreement. 15 people are reported to have been killed in attacks in Lebanon since the ceasefire began.
