The retail chain Seng is closing down its entire operations in Sweden, the company announced in a press release. The chain has stores in, among other places, Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Karlstad.
"Retail in Sweden has been greatly affected by high inflation, low consumer confidence, and a weakened krona exchange rate," says Seng's CEO Hanne Bang Vorre in a press release.
The closure will affect around 90 employees, primarily in Swedish stores. The retail chain is also closing its online store in Denmark. The 30 Danish stores will remain.
Seng was formed four years ago when Swedish Sängjätten and Danish Sengespecialisten merged. The company is owned by Lars Larsen Group, the owner of Jysk>
