In the Swedish GP competition, Daniel Ståhl, for the seventh time this year, threw over 68 meters, 68.02. He won the competition ahead of the Slovenian Kristjan Ceh, 66.19.
And despite new conditions, with a throwing cage on the opposite side of the arena, Ståhl was satisfied.
There was a bit of left wind and it's a bit harder. But it was just a matter of stepping on the gas, he says to SVT.
He says that the form, with five weeks left until the World Championship, is upward.
What he is working on:
Having a little better ground contact. I felt really close today.
Vanessa Kamga recently set a Swedish record in discus with 65.67 meters. In Sollentuna it was about a meter shorter, 64.65, and she came second after the Cuban Silinda Morales who had a throw that was two centimeters longer.
It was super good throwing today. I really feel that I'm in a good place in the throwing, says Kamga who is also in shape with a month left until the World Championship.
It's as fun as can be, it's this part of the season that you've worked hard for.
