In Region Skåne, it is about a total of 101,000 affected people, according to a press release. At the same time, the leak has affected 28,000 employees and former employees in Linköping municipality, reports P4 Östergötland.
In the City of Stockholm, all employees – over 40,000 who work in more than 300 different professions – have had their personal data leaked, has the newspaper Mitti reported.
Previously, the City of Gothenburg has announced that personal data has been leaked about employees in "all administrations and a number of companies". A total of as many as 165,000 current and former employees are affected.
The information includes, among other things, personal identity numbers, phone numbers, addresses, and employment IDs. People with protected information were not in Miljödata's system and have not been disclosed.
It was on August 23 that parts of Miljödata were subjected to an IT attack. 80 percent of Sweden's municipalities use the supplier, and the system handles, among other things, labor law cases, rehabilitation cases, as well as handling of work injuries and incidents.
Miljödata has, according to several media outlets, been subjected to extortion in connection with the IT attack.
