Triad's "Light a Candle" is usually number one on the list of the most popular Christmas songs in Sweden. But now the classic is being knocked down by an Ariana Grande song.

The music rights organization STIM has now traditionally compiled last year's most profitable Christmas songs in Sweden, written by Swedish songwriters.

Ariana Grande's "Santa tell me" takes first place this time. Behind the song is, among others, Swedish producer and songwriter Ilya Salmanzadeh, who has also worked with other world names such as Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.

"The great international successes of Swedish songwriters also make an impression at Christmas time. With 'Santa tell me', Ilya Salmanzadeh has created a modern Christmas classic," says Robert Gehring at STIM in a press release.

Triad's "Light a Candle", written by Niklas Strömstedt and Lasse Lindbom, has to settle for second place on the list this time, followed by Tommy Körberg and Sissel Kyrkjebø's "Christmas is Here" (written by Sölve Rydell and Billy Butt).

The list also includes Björnzone's "A Christmas Song" and Thomas Stenström's "Do you see the moon where you are tonight?"

Correction: In a previous version, the wrong location was specified on the list for "Light a candle".
