The new tariff levels replace temporary tariffs imposed at the end of December last year.
The tariffs will be reduced to 7.4–11.7 percent on certain dairy products from the EU starting February 13. The new levels will apply for five years, according to a statement from China's Ministry of Commerce.
In December, China imposed temporary tariffs on dairy products of 21.9–42.7 percent, citing subsidies to EU dairy companies as harming Chinese alternatives.
