The statement comes after three hours of talks in Paris, which Li described as profound, constructive and sincere.
The meeting in Paris has been described as an important prelude to the planned summit between Chinese leader Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump in Beijing on March 31–April 2.
However, it is currently unclear whether Trump will come to Beijing.
"We'll see if the visit takes place as planned. If the meeting, for some reason, is postponed, it will be due to logistics," US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told CNBC earlier on Monday.
