Chelsea is the league champion again after the 1-0 victory over Manchester United. The Swedes Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Nathalie Björn and Zecira Musovic can thus celebrate the club's sixth consecutive title.

After second-placed Arsenal, with Amanda Ilestedt, Rosa Kafaji, Lina Hurtig, and Stina Blackstenius, lost to Aston Villa, Chelsea had the upper hand.

At least one point away against Manchester United was enough to secure the league title, with two matches remaining.

The only Swede in the London team's squad was Johanna Rytting Karneryd, as Zecira Musovic is pregnant and Nathalie Björn is injured.

The 28-year-old winger started on the bench but was substituted in after more than half of the first half.

She would also be on the pitch when Lucy Bronze scored the 1–0 goal in the 74th minute.

But just over two minutes later, she would be substituted again.

When 90 minutes plus stoppage time had been played, Bronze's goal could be confirmed as the match-winner – and Chelsea are now champions.

Thus, they have taken six consecutive league titles and secured two out of three domestic titles this season. On May 18, they have the opportunity to win the third and take the treble. That's in the FA Cup final at Wembley – against Manchester United.

If they win the domestic treble, they will do so for the second time in four seasons, as they also did so in the 2020–2021 season.
