”Everyone knows that the situation has been tough but we also know that we have a player squad with lots of qualities. My task now is to create clarity, security and determination so that the players can perform as well as possible in these remaining matches”, says Seger in the press release.
Rosengård made a historic season last year, when the club won Damallsvenskan with just one loss throughout the entire season. This year has gone significantly worse, and the big club is on a qualifying spot with three rounds left. The team has three points down to Linköping on the relegation spot.
Seger played for the club between 2017–2024 and won four national championship gold medals.
The 40-year-old put the football boots on the shelf last year, and has recently completed the Swedish Football Association's coach training for former elite players. Parts of the training Seger did in Rosengård.
