"I am passionate about this, about women's football and about giving the players the best possible conditions. It has been that way throughout my career as a player, and it will continue to be so now and in the future. It feels incredibly inspiring to be able to contribute my experiences - and to gather new ones," Seger says in a statement.
In her new role, Seger will work with recruitment, as well as serve as a mentor and sounding board for both players and leaders.
"Caroline Seger is a true legend, both on and off the pitch - a wonderful person with strong leadership skills and unique experience of football at the highest level. Now the Crux era begins with FC Rosengård," says Bex Smith, founder and CEO of the British company Crux Football, and continues:
"Having recently retired from the club she has helped build throughout her playing career, there is no person in the entire world who is more suited to this role than she is."
On Wednesday, the Swedish Football Association approved the incorporation of both the women's and men's operations in Rosengård.
On the men's side, this means that the major Danish club FC Copenhagen will become a co-owner.
