The woman suspect was doing an internship at NATO, at the headquarters of the Allied Powers in Europe (Shape), near Mons in southern Belgium.
She is suspected of spying on behalf of a third country and of being a member of a criminal organization, the prosecution said in a statement.
The woman was reported by Shape's security service, which does not provide any details about what the espionage is about.
