"We welcome that the government has finally listened to us," Ida Karkianen, migration policy spokesperson for S, writes in a comment.

The Center's Niels Paarup-Petersen says that it is good that the Tidö parties have "started to listen" but that they "should listen properly". He calls, among other things, for the minimum age at which a person must have their own residence permit to be raised from 18 to 21 and for provisions for particularly distressing reasons to be reintroduced.

The Left Party's migration policy spokesperson Tony Haddou believes the proposal comes because the Left Party and others in the opposition have "pressed on".

Now young people also need to know that they can get a permanent solution, he says.
