Christian Democrats party leader Ebba Busch is not closing the door to letting Magdalena Andersson (S) as prime minister in a difficult, deadlocked situation after the election, she tells Svenska Dagbladet.

In a long interview in Monday's newspaper, which has been published in the digital edition , Busch says that she is much closer to Andersson now than just a year ago and highlights her interest in wanting to get things done even across bloc borders.

I have a hard time seeing how it will work out. But I don't like to be taken for granted. And you don't know until the polling stations close how the Swedish people have actually voted. And we could face very turbulent and difficult times ahead as well. And then you have to be able to make up for it, says Busch.

She is asked if it is Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) that she does not want to be taken for granted by.

No, I don't want anyone to be able to do that. As a voter, you should be able to know what you're getting with KD. But I've always made sure that we have several options for getting things done. So am I particularly keen on Magdalena Andersson as prime minister again? No. But I want to enable broader agreements on crucial issues. And I want to have several options for action if necessary.
